First off, I wish I had created this pro-Obama video featuring Samuel L. Jackson, reprising his role as the narrator of a children’s storybook.
That said, assuming I have a 30 second spot, I would take one song from Obama’s campaign playlist and then select facts (maybe I’ll use this website circulating on Facebook?) and just place my top five facts on the screen similar to the website design, giving them five seconds each, finishing with a series of quick fire photos or video footage of Obama plus “regular” people.
I think music instantly attracts people and it would be a nice difference to not hear a voice saying anything, but simple facts. This would not be an attack ad, or fear inducing, merely reminding people that Obama has accomplished many things while in the White House, and leave them asking “Just Imagine What the Next Four Years Will Bring.”
The song I select: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztO93X31oHw (start at the beginning, go to 30 seconds, the last words being “no speculation, no act to follow,” the key to the add being that people should not doubt Obama’s ability).
The Facts (hard to select because there are so many, but tried to reach different ages and genders and classes):
- Created more private sector jobs in 2012 than during entire Bush Years
- First president to endorse same-sex marriage equality
- Cut prescription drug cost for Medicare recipients by 50%
- Significantly expanded Pell grants, which help low-income students pay for college
- Ended the War in Iraq
